Poor baby! This is how I found him when we got home from Mommy and me today....

Cheese roll up from Taco Bell in hand with only two bites taken out. He NEVER falls asleep with uneaten food...that's usually out of the question for Mr. Sterling! Gotta love the swimming pool! :)

Well after two weeks of swim lessons again this summer, we are finally done! I have been so out of whack because they were from 6-6:30 and that interupts just about everything. I haven't been to the gym in like 3 weeks and it's killin me! It is right around dinner time, so we would either have dinner at like 8 when I got home and could fix something or just ate out after swim. So I am so ready to get back into my "groove"!



So here are some pictures of our little fish during his last swim lesson of the summer. He did excellent...just still can't get him to go under, but boy can he splash!!

then jump in...except Sterling had trouble with this because he is so cautious. He never wanted to jump in without us holding onto him. I guess that's good in a way!

"reach and pull"...he was actually REALLY good at rowing his arms and kicking at the same time, just had that nowhere near the water the whole time!

"TOS"/sayings

You know those long sticker tags on new clothes that tell you what size it is?? Well I was getting him ready so we could go somewhere. I pulled the tag off and set it next to him. Immediately he grabs it and says,"Mommy what's this?"

I say,"I don't know Sterling what is it?"

Get ready...

"It's my puppy Mommy!!" (he was so excited, I guess that he had thought of that or what)

Laughing I say,"What's your puppy's name?"

"T-O-S. His name is T-O-S Mommy" (he was spelling it out)

"Oh his name is Tos?" ~~ Guess where he got that...

It was a size 4TDS (that is what it said on the tag)

He was reading the letters off the tag for the puppy's name!! How funny is that. He carried that thing around with him the WHOLE day telling people it was his new puppy. He would talk to "TOS" and say things like,"see Tos, that is my mommy. I love my mommy Tos! Daddy is at work." It was so cute! So of course I had to get a picture of Tos! It's hard to see because it's from my phone but you can see it dangling from his hand. Oh the imagination! :)

I had two more sayings to add....

***Yesterday I asked Sterling what he was going to be when he grew up. This is what he said...

"Sterling what are you going to be when you grow up?"

S~"a Doctor"

"Oh really? What do Doctors do Sterling?"

S~"Help people."

"Very good Sterling!!" (I was shocked because we have never heard this before out of him)

S~ in the very next breath "No Mommy, I'm gonna be an angel."

***Ok, today I had Sterling on the potty because he told me he had to poo-poo and we were about to leave to go to Mommy and Me and it was at a water park today. Well as soon as he gets on he says he doesn't have to go anymore. I told him to sit there until he goes and I leave the room to finish getting ready. He starts that fake crying business....

S~ (yelling from the bathroom toilet) "Mommy I need a tennis shoe."

"Why do you need a tennis shoe Sterling? Go potty."

S~"Because I was crying and I need to blow my nose."

LOL!! Tennis shoe=tissue....I can see it!

St.Louis

So my dad and Denise finally got married after being together for 9 years!! So we loaded up and headed to St.Louis to visit. They got married on Catalina Island the last weekend of June, so we didn't get to be there but we saw LOTS of pictures and it was beautiful! Here are some pics of our trip to see my new Step-mother and my dad! Congratulations again you guys! :)

I think everyone is tired of hearing Sterling ask what time it is, so Shannon bought him a watch. He loves it! Thanks again Shannon!

And of course, G-mom got him some clothes! Thanks again for the clothes G-mom!

On Saturday night we all went out to eat at Ki taro's. (it's the SAME THING as Shoguns)

Heath worked with Kevin and Jerry all day and they were all tuckered out.

Then on Sunday we got up and ready for church. It was a very special church service to go to because sweet little Gavin was being baptised.

Another rare occurrence here folks...although it seems I have been doing a lot of posts with him falling asleep on me. But I think this beats it all...during the closing song at church with a live band!!

Daddy was jealous, he wanted a picture too!

Then after church we went to Jamie and Kevin's for some lunch!

And I finally have a sister! And we are only 15 days apart...can't beat that. That would have been nice to have growing up though! :)

So after lunch it was back to my dad and denises to pack. G (or should I say Mr. Horsey) was entertaining Sterling for us while we packed up the car.

We had such a great time and can't wait to see them when they come down for Sterling's birthday in September! We love you G and G-mom! :)

This is our 4th year for a garden and it just gets better and better as the years go by.

Don't know if you saw the post from when I first planted everything in May but here it is (two weeks after I had planted it...

**Thanks to God we haven't had to water our garden but two times this year! Usually we have to water about every other day...thank you Lord! The garden is so lush this year and we haven't even miracle grown it AT ALL!! I'm so excited! I think gardening and being in the flower beds are one of my passions...guess I'm just now figuring this out. You would think since I spend a lot of time in my flower beds/garden I would have figured it out before now!**

And here you have the culprit for why I couldn't plug the USB cord in....

If you can't tell what that is, that would be a dried out playdough chunk that Sterling must have put in there! How he got the cord and did that all without me knowing is beyond me, but no wonder it wouldn't go in the computer! So now I have the pictures downloaded and we are ready to go!

I have two more of our favorite sayings courtesy of Sterling...

***"Where we are we, mommy?"*** yes, he actually says it like that!

***Sterling: "What time is it?"

mommy: "it's 3:54 Sterling."

Sterling:" Where?" *** If I had a penny for every time he has asked us this, his college would already be paid for!! ...not joking! :)

Sterling sayings

I meant to put this in the last post but I guess it deserves it's own.

Sterling is so vocal now and learning so many things, I think he sometimes gets things mixed up.

For example:

He was eating lunch looks at me and says,

"Mommy my toe hurts."

Mommy: "why does your toe hurt Sterling?"

Sterling: "because I ate too much"

He has a lot of funny sayings now....I need to remember to write these down because he will get a laugh out of them one day!

computer trouble

Well I was going to do a picture post but for some reason the usb cord that goes to my camera, won't plug in my computer...I'm sure it's something that a "non-computer illiterate person" could figure out but there are non around here right now so it'll have to wait. Once again...haven't posted in about forever, but still have the good "excuse"...I've been busy! :) Right now we are staying at some friends house for the weekend, house/kid sitting. We have been here since last night. I've got lots to post about... * trip to St.Louis to visit my dad and step mom (yes, they FINALLY got married after waiting 9 years! Now I don't have to write "future" step mom anymore...whew!) *how huge the garden is *swimming lessons (that's another reason I haven't blogged in a while!) *this weekend *Sterling's new "pet" (in the mind of a two year old!) Ok, you probably don't care at all about that but for the way my mind works, I need a list! So hopefully sometime this weekend I can get to at least one or two of those! :) Stay tuned!
