MUCH needed night out on the town!

A few weeks ago, one of my good friends Ashley had a birthday, and it was a well deserved girls night out for all of us! We had such a blast! We ate at a fun little restaurant and then went dancin and had an absolute blast! (not to mention had a great workout!)
The birthday girl...isn't she so pretty!!

Me and the birthday girl!

All of us minus two that went to take the gifts to the car and plus some random guy! Weird...
I'm not sure how I am the tall one in this picture because Dina (the one on my left, is like three inches taller than me!...course I did have on like 3 inch heels!) A MUCH needed night of fun with the girls!

Gotta love a good deal!

So me and my good friends Suzette and Keely and their adorable kiddos went to a neighborhood garage sale a few weeks ago (yes I am just now getting around to posting...I'm a little behind! ha) and I found this bargain that was too good to pass up! Check this out...
Unopened, date still good, great brand of formula...and even better was what I paid! Yep $.25...too bad I had to end up giving it to Suzette because J didn't like it. :( He is used to drinking Enfimil...oh well, it was only $.25!! So afterwards we went to the park and let the kids play before heading to lunch. Beautiful Suz and precious K! (J's girlfriend and future wife! haha) Pretty Keely and KB! (S's future wife! haha) Awww...aren't they cute together! :)

J's new do

So the time had come for J to have his first haircut...well trim. Now I am no beautician but I wanted to be the one to cut those cute little locks. It was very hard to cut it (emotionally I mean) but it was long overdue! He has the best hair...if he was a girl! But he's not so the time had come... :(
The "comb over"
LOVE those little curls!!
The next Einstein??
I just had to stick this one in there cause of his facial expression! He looks funny because he was in the process of turning his head but I love it when he looks at me like this!
Here we go!!
The first snip...
So sad... of course I saved it!!! We had to distract him with food cause he was more than done with the whole haircut thing!
Sniff sniff Now that's a lot of hair for a 6 month old...funny thing is that there is still a lot left!
The final product...remember I'm no professional and it's hard to work around the balding spot in the back!
No more rat tail!!!
And the comb-over is still there! That's even harder to work around!

So Heath is going to flip when he sees this post, but I couldn't resist!! Doesn't he have perfect bow hair!?!
The single pony

The triple pony

which, of course, nobody wears, I was just having too much fun!

The rat-tail pony
The perfect pig-tails
We were having too much fun!
So these are going to make fabulous wedding slide-show pictures when he gets married!!! LOL! Happy Monday!

Mother's Day 2010

Mother's Day was special, this year, for me as this is the first year I have been a mother of two! As though it has been challenging at times, for the most part, it has been very rewarding!! Seeing my boys interact with each other is so awesome! I never had that growing up an only child until I was 12.
The only thing I find hard is trying to spend equal time with both of them and still find time to clean, cook, do the bills (which takes forever to do), go to work, do the laundry, have a social life, face book, blog, and whatever else I am leaving out! It seems as though when I get involved in doing one of the above, one or the other needs me in some way. But I really, honestly wouldn't trade it for the world! God has MORE than blessed me with two wonderful, sweet little boys and one very awesome husband, that it is too hard to complain about anything! I am so thankful to Him for everything that he has blessed me with, especially the gift of being Sterling and Judson's mommy!
God gave these precious little gifts to me and I love those boys more than words can even express and I am trying my best to raise them to be Godly men. I want them to love the Lord with all of their heart and souls. I want to raise them to be leaders...leaders of the church and leaders of their families.
So, this was an amazing Mother's Day! I only had to change one diaper (which was just wet, no poopy! But somehow Heath got so lucky and had zero dirty diapers...how does that happen!?!), I got to go get all my flowers for my garden and flower beds, take a nap, and go visit with my mom, grandmother, and mother-in-law! Couldn't ask for anything more! :)
My grandmother (Grams) was in town so we were able to spend some time with her!
All the Brown's (and Mawmaw and Pawpaw) at lunch eating the most amazing BBQ! (minus Shane and Rachel~we missed you all!)
Me and my momma!
I love you so much mom! Without you I would not be here and for that I thank you! Thank you for raising me in the church and for everything you have sacrificed for me. Thank you for teaching me so much of what I needed to know to becoming an adult and most importantly, a mother!
Heath and his beautiful momma!
As I have said before, thank you so much for raising the most amazing man!!! Without you, he would not be here and my life would not be what it is today! And thank you for being such a wonderful mother-in-law a girl could ever ask for, seriously!!!
