Arkansas Naturals game

Last week we were able to attend our first Naturals game. (a big thanks to Keith and Becky and the Bruner family for letting us go!) We aren't big sports people...as you probably guessed! We lost, but still had a great time visiting with friends and family!
Owen and Sterling ready to tear up the place!
He sat here for just a little while then it was off to...
... the bounce houses where they stayed the rest of the game! Claire and Sterling making their way to the top of the slide.
Can't believe he's finally going down by himself...miracle! The "mean guy". Sterling insisted on getting two different pictures taken with him at two different times. He loves those kinds of things...crazy kid!

Happy Birthday Nana

Tomorrow is a very special day...it's Nana's birthday! (my wonderful mother-in-law) She is going to be a very special number (don't worry Becky I'm not going to put it!) and so we celebrated last Sunday by all showing up at a restaurant and surprising her when she thought it was only going to be Brooke and Mitch there! (Chad and Jennifer weren't there because they were out of town~ we missed you guys!) We had a great time visiting and eating a yummy brunch! So...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA! WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY!
Becky and three of the grand kids (Sterling, Owen, and Claire)
Isn't she beautiful! I hope I look just half as good at her age! :)
Sterling insisted that we do silly faces first before our real picture!
Now time for the real one
Me and two of my sister-in-laws, Brooke and Rachel with Claire and, soon-to-be, Bree!!

Old school style tent

Sterling was "boring" (his words for bored) Saturday so we decided to make a tent...old school style. We got the kitchen chairs and sheets and went to town.
Really it took about 2 seconds to make the ghetto thing, but he had fun regardless!
It stinks being an only child with no friends around to play with and it raining outside! It won't be much longer that and that will change!
He brought a bunch of his "friends", aka his stuffed animals and blankie, in there with him!
Look what is coming along rather nicely...
I can see the light at the end of the shed making process! All he has to do now is construct the building...which once it is started he can't stop. Sooooo, tonight I should have a shed (finally) in my backyard! And I can finally start working on the baby's room! :)

Gone fishin'

Our really good friends, Brad and Maria, let us come to their house to take Sterling fishing for the first time! Thanks again you guys! We had so much fun!!
On the "roller coaster" as Sterling likes to call it, headed down to the dock! That's how the pregos go down to the lake! :)
He just couldn't wait and the second we stepped down there, he was trying to cast it! So Heath had to quickly show him how.
Look at those faces! haha Havin' so much fun!
Now we are ready to take the boat out and give this a try out on the lake! I love how he can barley see over that life jacket...too cute!
The big boys had to have turns too, of course! And Maria did great too! I, on the other hand, couldn't do it to save my life! Maybe that's because I've only been fishing a total of like 3 times in my life...
The sweet couple...love you guys!!!
Sterling literally drove us back to the dock...it was so cute! He was concentrating so hard. He did pretty good, considering! He was literally in the car for maybe 2 min and I hear loud breathing (shortly followed by his lovely snoring!) coming from back there and sure enough... he had CRASHED! He had a blast and is still talking about it! Look how he is sitting...cracks me up! Brad and Maria, you guys are the best...thanks again!! :)

I wanna show my friends my new friend

Here is the latest project at the Brown house... (that has been in the works for about 4 weeks now!) getting the ground level to add a shed. Yes, instead of just pouring concrete this is how he has chosen to do it! But he finally finished this today! Now the real construction can begin! And as always, Sterling enjoys "helping" his Daddy any time he can!
So as Heath was digging he found a frog.
But let me back up.
Sterling used to be deathly afraid of frogs. Oh, about a week ago. But he wanted to catch this one and put it in his bug collector.
And so he did just that.
Proud momma here! After he caught it, he wanted me to go around the to the neighbors houses with him to,"show is friends, his new friend"! It was so cute!
We let his "new friend" go though so he didn't die...
Here is my 21 week picture! Getting bigger by the week!

IT'S A...

BOY!!!
I promise we are alive and well around here! So here come the excuses as to why I have been in hyadis for almost 2 months... :)
  • I was so sick and on medicine for a little over 18 weeks but am feeling WAY better now! Hallelujah!!
  • Our computer is a piece of TRASH!
  • When you're either hugging the toilet or laying on the couch all day, you really don't feel like doing much of anything!
  • Oh, and our computer is a piece of TRASH!! for some reason the past few days though it has actually let me get on and do things on it...I swear they have a mind of their own!

But oh how I have missed reading everyones blogs! I can't wait to get back into the routine again!
I'm not going to bother trying to catch up on everything that has been going on around here, (because nothing really exciting goes on when you're hugging the toilet for 18 weeks!) but I will let you in on our little "secret"...as you see we found out we are having another sweet, precious, little boy.
Welllll...maybe not so little!
I went in to find out for sure what he was, I was 19 wks and 4 days along. That is when they do the full anatomy scan to make sure all the organs are there and the baby has all it's parts and just making sure everything is good. They also do the measurements as well.
Sooo, according to my book AND the website updates I get, he was supposed to be weighing about 9 oz and should be measuring right at 19 weeks or so.
Want to know what this little miniature monster already weighed in at?
A whopping 14 oz!!!! That is almost a pound people!! They aren't supposed to weigh that until about 22-23 weeks!! AND he was measuring in at 20 wks and 5 days!! That's a week and a day ahead of what he's supposed to be!
I'm telling you right now...I'm doomed!! :) I for-see a C-section in my near future...but let's pray that doesn't happen!
If you remember I was induced with Sterling at 37 weeks because he was already weighing 9.2 at a 36 week ultrasound, that I had to have because I was measuring, on the outside of my stomach, what a 43 week person would measure. And nobody goes 43 weeks!! He was 9 lbs 6 oz!
So needless to say, I'm kind of nervous about this one already! But he is healthy and everything is right where it's supposed to be and all looks great!
So here is a picture of my other precious son with his leg extended all the way in the air!

his arm is up by his forehead and that is the umbilical cord you see next to the leg

look at this huge foot! The ultrasound tech even said it was a big foot! :)
And here I am in all my 20 week glory last week. I'm now 21 weeks and about 16 weeks out from having him...I better get things started around here!
