two play dates in a row!!

Sterling and I had two play dates last week! We could get used to this!

The first one was basically for me! :) I was finally able to meet up with one of my blogging friends, Jenn! It was so good to finally meet her! It felt like I already knew her though!

I have been friends with Ashley now for almost 2 years and she brought her little doll baby, Avery! So precious!

Then I was able to meet two other ladies that Jenn and Ashley knew, Danielle and Suzette. Some knew each other through blogging and others through school and work. It's crazy how it's all kind of in a little circle how we all knew each other. Suzette brought her little precious baby girl, Kyah (LOVE that name!)!

I had so much fun and it was so needed for me right now! Thanks again Danielle for opening your home to us and preparing an awesome lunch for us! I hope we can all get together again soon!

Playing with a half dressed Barbie...his daddy would flip!! :) Then we had another play date on Friday with some friends from Sterling's preschool. Jennifer and I worked together there and I had Judah in my class two years in a row.

We had such a great time!

It's so refreshing to be able to get together with fellow stay-at-home mommas and actually be able to have adult conversations!!

This week is probably going to boring after our fun week last week! :)

Our yummy goodies

Look what we've been enjoying most of the summer from our garden!!

These cherry tomatoes grow like nobody's business! We get about this many everyday! Yummy! I have been enjoying them in fresh salads every night! (another pregnancy craving!) And making this....

...yummy fresh salsa! Oh my word...love it!

Here is my recipe:

6 roma tomatoes and a few cherry :)

2 jalapenos (completely seeded)

1 serano pepper (completely seeded)

half a bunch of cilantro

2 cloves of garlic

juice from one lime

dash of pepper

blend all together and taste...you may have to add something else!

And this is our first year to grow cantaloupe. This is the best cantaloupe I have ever tasted!! SOO yummy!!

Arkansas Naturals game

Last week we were able to attend our first Naturals game. (a big thanks to Keith and Becky and the Bruner family for letting us go!) We aren't big sports people...as you probably guessed! We lost, but still had a great time visiting with friends and family!

Can't believe he's finally going down by himself...miracle! The "mean guy". Sterling insisted on getting two different pictures taken with him at two different times. He loves those kinds of things...crazy kid!

back to school give-away

It's that time again...back to school! Monogram chick is doing a back to school give-away! It's for a backpack AND lunchbox...awesome!! Go have a looksie! :)

Happy Birthday Nana

Tomorrow is a very special day...it's Nana's birthday! (my wonderful mother-in-law) She is going to be a very special number (don't worry Becky I'm not going to put it!) and so we celebrated last Sunday by all showing up at a restaurant and surprising her when she thought it was only going to be Brooke and Mitch there! (Chad and Jennifer weren't there because they were out of town~ we missed you guys!) We had a great time visiting and eating a yummy brunch! So...

Old school style tent

Sterling was "boring" (his words for bored) Saturday so we decided to make a tent...old school style. We got the kitchen chairs and sheets and went to town.

Really it took about 2 seconds to make the ghetto thing, but he had fun regardless!

It stinks being an only child with no friends around to play with and it raining outside! It won't be much longer that and that will change!

He brought a bunch of his "friends", aka his stuffed animals and blankie, in there with him!

I can see the light at the end of the shed making process! All he has to do now is construct the building...which once it is started he can't stop. Sooooo, tonight I should have a shed (finally) in my backyard! And I can finally start working on the baby's room! :)
