Mother's Day 2010

Mother's Day was special, this year, for me as this is the first year I have been a mother of two! As though it has been challenging at times, for the most part, it has been very rewarding!! Seeing my boys interact with each other is so awesome! I never had that growing up an only child until I was 12.
The only thing I find hard is trying to spend equal time with both of them and still find time to clean, cook, do the bills (which takes forever to do), go to work, do the laundry, have a social life, face book, blog, and whatever else I am leaving out! It seems as though when I get involved in doing one of the above, one or the other needs me in some way. But I really, honestly wouldn't trade it for the world! God has MORE than blessed me with two wonderful, sweet little boys and one very awesome husband, that it is too hard to complain about anything! I am so thankful to Him for everything that he has blessed me with, especially the gift of being Sterling and Judson's mommy!
God gave these precious little gifts to me and I love those boys more than words can even express and I am trying my best to raise them to be Godly men. I want them to love the Lord with all of their heart and souls. I want to raise them to be leaders...leaders of the church and leaders of their families.
So, this was an amazing Mother's Day! I only had to change one diaper (which was just wet, no poopy! But somehow Heath got so lucky and had zero dirty diapers...how does that happen!?!), I got to go get all my flowers for my garden and flower beds, take a nap, and go visit with my mom, grandmother, and mother-in-law! Couldn't ask for anything more! :)
My grandmother (Grams) was in town so we were able to spend some time with her!
All the Brown's (and Mawmaw and Pawpaw) at lunch eating the most amazing BBQ! (minus Shane and Rachel~we missed you all!)
Me and my momma!
I love you so much mom! Without you I would not be here and for that I thank you! Thank you for raising me in the church and for everything you have sacrificed for me. Thank you for teaching me so much of what I needed to know to becoming an adult and most importantly, a mother!
Heath and his beautiful momma!
As I have said before, thank you so much for raising the most amazing man!!! Without you, he would not be here and my life would not be what it is today! And thank you for being such a wonderful mother-in-law a girl could ever ask for, seriously!!!

5 months old

So this little stinker just turned 5 months on Monday! I seriously can not believe it!! Time is just zooming by and I feel like I have missed something cause it's going by so fast. Well here are the (boring to you all) updates on this booger!
And I so should have started this from the beginning with the whole numbering him thing, but didn't even occur to me until now to do it! Blah
  • rolls from back to front as soon as you lay him down
  • still sleeps in his bassinet but in his bed for naps
  • weighs about 19 lbs
  • LOVES to blow spit bubbles
  • size 3 diapers
  • just found his voice so he is yelling, not babbling yet though
  • said "mama" while he was crying from being on his tummy while I was trying to take these pictures, but that is the one and only time so far
  • said "dada" while crying the other day, one and only time too
  • still loves the monkey bouncer
  • grabs at EVERYTHING his little hands can reach
  • loves to grab faces and try to put them in his mouth
  • wearing size 6-9 or 6-12 month clothes
  • loves his rice cereal
  • starting to try and sit up
  • still can't roll from stomach to back and still doesn't like being on tummy at all
  • is on Zantac for reflux
  • his nose has cleared up for the most part
  • still such a happy/good baby
he loves to give kisses! Ok, before you judge, I just can't come to grips on cutting his hair yet. I know I will cut that rat tale he's got going on, but other than that, I just can't do it yet. Not. ready. And I'm his mommy so I can do whatever I want! haha :) I just had to get a picture of the back of his head though before any more hair falls out...aaand, before I take the scissors to it!

I'm ready for this again...

Every year we plant a garden, and I look forward to it every time! I love being able to go in my backyard for my lunch/dinner!
It's just about that time again! My friend Suzette and I are going to Walmart today and I am going to get some plants...it won't be long now! Yay! :)
HOMEMADE SALSA...MMMM!!!
Can't wait!!

Easter 2010

Ok, so I'm really late on the Easter post...what's new!

Hunting the eggs that the Easter Bunny left! He was so excited!

His reaction to what the easter bunny left him! Judson seemed less than thrilled! haha
This was the best out of about a million pictures that I could get of the two of them. Sterling likes to make Judson look like he's talking by pulling down his bottom lip and acting like he's talking...that's what he was doing here. He was "making" him say cheese!
Sterling, Clayton, and Caiden waiting patiently to eat.
Judson hangin out with his Papa.
They are finally ready to hunt eggs...releasing the beasts!
Judson found one!!
All the Brown kids...S & J lost their vests by mid-day. Sterling was lovin' him some chocolate...as you can tell! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and is enjoying the awesome Spring weather!
