3 months old

Today is Judson's 3 month birthday! Can you believe it!?! Time is FLYING!! Here are a few stats for me to remember:

• smiles really big all the time especially at his big brother
• gives a giggle every now and then
• reaches for toys and hits at them
• eats rice cereal in his bottle before bed
• sleeps 7 hours most nights
• still doesn't like being on his belly
• weighs 15 lbs and 24 in long
• he's a really good baby...not very fussy at all
• is self soothing...no passy or fingers
• his nose is still giving him trouble...still wakes up gagging
• sleeps in his bassinet still
• wears size 2 diaper

And guess who weighs 15 lbs already... And guess who has been sleeping through the night for the past week... Isn't he getting so big! :)

You know you love American Idol when...

...your four year old comes into the room singing this to you! Then he says,"I'm gonna sing that when I get on American Idol!" Thankgoodness you still have 12 years bud! :) Love this child!

Brotherly love

I am just loving this whole sibling thing!! Sterling is SUCH AN AWESOME big brother! I can't say enough how much he loves his little brother. Since I didn't have a sibling until I was 12, this is all new to me! I'm so glad I had two boys now because I know in a few years they are going to be the best of friends, I just know it! So here is an explanation of the next two pictures. I was getting ready in my bathroom one afternoon and let Sterling watch tv. I kept checking on him and he would just be sitting there or playing with some toys. Well, after I was done getting ready, I went in to check on Judson and this is what I found... Sterling drew this picture, for Judson, without me even suggesting to even draw a picture, and set it on Judson because it was now his. How precious can you be Sterling?? :) In order from left to right, in case you were wondering (heehee), Judson, Sterling, Daddy, and me. (notice my curly hair!!) I just want to eat him up sometimes! :) So now that Judson is becoming more and more aware of things, he is starting to really coo and smile at us. Ok, he LOVES Sterling!!! Anytime Sterling comes near him he just smiles and gets excited. So I had to snap a few shots when I saw this the other day!

2 months old

I will probably be starting my sentences the same way each month...I can hardly believe time has gone by so fast!!! It really really has! I used to brush it off when people would say,"enjoy it because it goes by so fast!" now I know that statement is totally true! Here are Judson's stats as of his 2 month birthday today!

• Weighs 13.5 lbs (85th%)/ 23 in long (45th%)/ 40 cm (60th%)
• coo's and tries to talk back to us when we talk to him
• smiles at us
• can follow us with his eyes for just a little bit
• still having trouble focusing close up but from a distance seems to be better
• can turn to look at us if we stand on the opposite side
• doesn't like tummy time at all and will keep his face buried and start fussing
• sleeps on his back on a wedge because of his nose congestion
• nose congestion not any better
• mommy is trying no dairy to see if it helps the congestion
• sleeps about 4-5 hours for the first stretch then gets up every two to three hours to eat during the night
• still sleeps a lot during the day
• goes right back to sleep at night after eating
• lost belly button at 6 weeks
• loves his big brother

We are still here!

We are still alive, just trying to adjust to life with two kids!!! It's quite the adjustment at our house! I stay exhausted most of the time, but I am loving it!! :) Here are just a few updated pictures to get you by until the next post...if I have any readers still! haha But I know my family wants the updated pictures so here you go la familia! :)

Judson's belly button fell off a few days before he turned 6 weeks so this is from his first bath. He LOVED it!

Look who is 1 month old today!!

It is SOOOO hard to believe Judson is already 1 month old!! It's been 4 weeks and I still don't have a good routine going on and it's driving me crazy!! (I am a schedule person!) I haven't been on anyone elses blog in over a month and that's driving me crazy! But please know that I am not ignoring you or don't want to read it because I do, I just don't have the time yet! So hopefully after the holidays things will calm down and I will have time to do the things I like to do! So this post might be boring to you...it's going to be a list of what he is doing and what's going on with him. So just skip to the pictures if you want! :)

• He is still a terrible nurser UNLESS I have my nipple shield, then he's great! (I will never be without that thing!)
• He weighs 9 lbs 6 oz as of 4 days ago (exactly what Sterling weighed when he was born!)
• Still can't focus on our faces, but when he sees black and white he stares for a long time
• Can't coo yet, but listens very intently when we are talking to him.
• Still has dark blue eyes
• Still has his cord
• Still has mustard poop :)
• eats about every 2-3 hours during the day and has one long stretch of about 4.5-5 hours at night
• can hold his head up very well but only for a few seconds at a time

Here is Sterling at 1 month old...they definitely don't look that much alike. And I thought Sterling had as much hair as Judson does but I guess I didn't remember right!
