Judson's nursery

The moment you've all been waiting for...Judson's nursery pictures! haha :)
We had murals painted last weekend and I LOVE them! She did such a wonderful job! This was the same lady that did Sterling's murals. His name is letters that I painted, not part of the mural! These pictures don't really do it all justice of how cute it really is, of course, but you will get the idea! Enjoy!
Ok, so I still have to hang some shelves above my desk, but you get the idea! Poor Judson has to share a room with my scrap booking desk...oh well.
Here is my big belly at 37 weeks measuring in at 40cm... can ya tell I'm ready to have him!!

Paper Chain Project

So with T-minus 5 days left until the big day (if I don't go sooner!) I decided to do a little craft project with Sterling to put into perspective just when his new little brother will be making his appearance. And Sterling being, Mr. Crafty, he was all game. The Paper Chain Project:
So the paper chain is now hanging on his crib and every day Sterling pulls one off and it's just one day closer! Nursery post coming tomorrow!!

When's this kid going to get here!?!

"Your baby is now around 18 1/2 inches long and nearly 6 pounds—just about as big as a breadbox!" This is what my weekly update tells me today. My children must be...errr...ARE an exception! So, I had my ultrasound today and he is weighing in at 7 lbs 10 oz! Your baby probably weighed that at birth at like 39-40 weeks. But this, this is EXCELLENT news for me! At this same week, with Sterling, he measured in at 9 lbs 2 oz!! (no I did not have diabetes) So you can imagine my relief when I found out that I'm not having a little toddler this time! :) So when do I get to have him and how you might ask? My doctor is awesome and has already scheduled me for induction on the 19th!! WHAT WHAT!!! Two weeks from tomorrow!!! I will be 38 weeks to the day. I will have another ultrasound that Wednesday to make sure that he hasn't like doubled in size and that everything looks good to go. He is not making me have a c-section either!! Also EXCELLENT news to my ears! I told him I really wanted to try it natural first (yes drugs will be involved!!) and then if it goes on and on like Sterling's, then I will go ahead and have one. But I really want to try first especially since he's measuring so much smaller! When the ultrasound tech was done measuring she switched it over to 4-D for a while. When we had Sterling's 4-D done, he wasn't able to open his eyes yet. This time we got to see Judson open his eyes and mouth and look around. It was so cool!!! We both agree that he looks a lot like Sterling! In this picture his nose looks really wide but it's not really. She said he was moving around A LOT, so when she snapped this one he was in the process of moving his head so that's why it looks a little wide. He only has one eye half open in this picture but we saw both of them open and blinking! We also saw that he has some hair! I CAN NOT wait for this baby to get here! These next two weeks are going to go by SO slow!!!

A peek at what's to come

Hello!! It has been one crazy, hectic month around here! But we have been super busy preparing for Judson's arrival, job changes, car trouble and just life. But here is a sneak peek at my maternity pictures! When I get them all back I will be sure to post them! I can't wait for you all to see them...they are soooo good!! On the baby front, I have an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday to see just how big our little man is now and just how and when he's going to make his appearance into this crazy world! I will let you all know! BTW, I'm 34 weeks in these pictures!

sneak peek

Well we were busy last weekend. Guess what we did... Finally painted Judson's room! I rolled and my mom did the trim work. I am having the lady who did the murals in Sterling's room come do some in Judson's. I can't wait cause she's awesome!! Please excuse the nappy hair, clothes and no makeup...no need to get dressed up to paint, right! HUGE thanks to my mom for helping us out!! Thank you mom I appreciate it more than you know!! :) Then Heath came home and helped me finish up the goldish/khakis wall. I'm not sure if I've ever posted pictures of Sterling's murals in his room but here they are! I took them a few years ago so that is why his crib is still there and his changing table. Those are both in Judson's room now!
We had a mini dachshaund at the time so she incorporated her in there! This is in the boys bathroom...

VOTE

** I didn't communicate something right...I only wish that I gained one pound all together! I meant that I gained one pound in my two week span between doctor visits! I have gained 20 lbs all together! Ick! :) ** So I kind of had a clue that the reason I have been feeling so miserable lately would be because I am measuring big again this pregnancy. Well, when I went in today my suspicions were right!! I am 31 weeks and I measured in at 34 weeks...3 weeks too big! No, my due date is not off. Never has been. No, I do not have pre-eclampsia. No, I do not have gestational diabetes. Wanna know what I have.... BIG BABIES!!!! My doctor is still re-assuring me that he is going to do an ultrasound at 36 weeks to measure just how big this baby is. I sooo can't wait! So, I added a poll to my sidebar to let you all vote on what size you think this baby is going to be! You're not going to hurt my feelings, trust me!
AND NOW FOR A GOOD LAUGH, SCROLL DOWN

Sterling's cowboy birthday

Ever since his 3rd birthday party, Sterling has been saying he wants a cowboy birthday next. Sooo...I have been planning for a few months now trying to come up with the best/cheapest way to throw a cowboy party. Wish I could have rented a horse to come but $500 is a little steep for me! But he ended up having such a great birthday party anyway! My dad and step mom came in town to help celebrate and we enjoyed their company!
Here are a TON of pictures from his special day! Thank you to everyone who helped make this day extra special for him!
Uncle T (my brother) and Sterling shootin' their guns!
I can take half of the credit for the cake. I made the shape and frosted it with the blue frosting. The next day (a few hours before the party was supposed to start) I went to decorate it and I didn't have the right tools!! I freaked out of course! So I called up our little local grocery store that is right down the street and asked if they could help out. I drew out exactly what I wanted it to look like and she did it perfect!!! Even better, she didn't charge me a penny! I love how it turned out!The party favors...
I printed cowboy coloring sheets off the Internet and put together a coloring book which I taped crayons, and cowboy stickers to. Then everyone got a sheriffs badge to wear when they got there. I also ordered some bubblegum coins from Oriental Trading and covered them with some bandanna material that I already had. (cowboy treasure)
Once everybody showed up we got the party started off by decorating some cowboy hat and boot cookies. That is licorice strings and miniature gummy bears in the buckets.
This cracks me up...
Then we opened presents!! We got the hay bales for people to sit on!
Thanks Grandma for the toy shot gun...(insert major sarcasm here please) look at my face!
Getting a sweet hug from cousin Clayton!
Then we sang and served the cake!
Little toot! Thanks G-dad and G-mom for coming to celebrate his birthday with us! We enjoyed our time with you both! See you again soon when Judson gets here! :)
These pictures are from his actual birthday on Tuesday at school. Sterling helped me make these cupcakes to take to his friends.
This is funny...we forgot candles! So he's pretending to blow out the candles! haha
He got to pick out of the special birthday box!
That night he said he wanted to eat at Red Robin for his special birthday dinner.
This is hilarious...
They came out singing really loudly the birthday song that goes,"happy happy birthday, we're so glad you came...yada yada" clapping and just being really loud. Sterling was NOT having it! His little face got really red and he was just pretending they weren't even there!! He started eating his french fries and and just looking at other things. It was hysterical! Then when we got to the car Heath asked him if he enjoyed his birthday dinner and he said,"YES, but I didn't like that song they sang!"
I think Sterling has had quite the birthday week and this momma is one tired prego!! Now it's time to get this baby's nursery ready!
