Easter picture delay(s)

I have about a gazillion posts that I need to get to, to catch up, but instead let me show why I had to cancel the boys Easter pictures for the second time!

I picked Sterling up from school on Wednesday to find him sitting in his teachers lap outside holding a wet rag on his face. He had slid head first down the slide and landed right into the mulch and scraped his face to pieces.

Of course, our luck would have it that two days before we were re-scheduled to have their Easter pictures done (the first time I had to cancel, which was before Easter I might add, there was a torrential downpour here and I wasn't about to try and haul these kids around by myself and keep them looking good!) he messes up his face. Couldn't have been his arms or legs or belly...nope, had to be the face.

So today was the day they were to go in, so good thing I canceled...can't have pictures done looking like this...

So we will do Easter pictures eventually, but for now the Neosporin will just have to work it's magic!

the hair says it all

Do not let this sweet smile fool you...

The hair says it all...

We had a rough night last night. This little toot had me up every 1.5 - 2 hours. Not sure why but I have a good guess...I'm pretty sure he has allergies...the Benedryl will be calling his name tonight! You would never know by the video that he had no sleep last night!

sleeping/rolling

I have been blessed with yet another wonderful sleeper!! Best part, he doesn't require a paci like his big brother did! He just falls asleep anywhere, anytime when he gets tired! Guess he takes after his Daddy on that one! His momma and brother have to be in their own beds.
He is so close to rolling over!! He has had that leg swung over a few times but hasn't mastered it quite yet. But it is only a matter of time! I'm not rushing it cause then the days of setting him down and doing what I need to, will be o.v.e.r!

4 months old

Judson turned 4 months old last Friday! So hard to believe! Some pictures and then some stats!

"Hey! Where you goin'!?! Get back here!"

Love this little smirk
  • reaches out and grabs at everything
  • loves to stand up
  • still hates being on his tummy and cries until we turn him back over
  • sometimes tries to roll over from his back to belly but just prefers to lay there
  • eating one bowl of rice cereal a day
  • size 3 diapers
  • weighs 18 lbs
  • still nursing
  • thought a tooth poked through, but we think it must have gone back down or the gums are just staying swollen around it because we can't really feel it anymore
  • drools like crazy...has to wear a bib most of the time now
  • knawing on everything cause teeth are bothering him so bad
  • still having nose issues
  • still such a happy boy
  • wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes but can wear some 12 month
  • Still has all his hair except in the back there is a little half ring shape where he has rubbed hair off

Guess who has a tooth!

This little guy actually cut a tooth last week!! Can you believe that! He will be 4 months on Friday and has a tooth!!! You can't see it yet since it's not all the way through, but you can feel it with your finger. Poor baby has been just trying to eat everything he can get in his mouth. He still is a wonderful baby though and is still sleeping through the night, so I can't really complain! I just feel so bad for him because you can tell it's bothering him. One of my friends told me the other day that her pediatrician said that teeth and bone growth go hand in hand, so the earlier they cut teeth the higher chance he has to be tall. Never heard that, but it makes sense! Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!

What possesses them sometimes?

I have to ask that question of my 4 year old sometimes. He is a WONDERFUL child. Never gets into things. Never talks back. Always listens when I tell him to do something. Very sensitive personality. May the list go on... But today I had to ask myself this question! When I picked him up from school he wanted to play with his dry erase learning thing that we keep in the car. No problem. Until I look back and see this...just take a moment to try and guess what this might be...
YEP! I guess he thought it "necessary" to color his dry erase marker on the reflective part of my brand new Baby Bjorn!!!
But at least I know he won't do it again! I love this kid! :)
